Summer Fun 16 April Update

The brochures will be distributed to local hotels and accommodation nearer the time of the Open.

Carnoustie Film Project – we’re really enjoying the experience of getting up close and personal in our community, we can’t wait to start sharing these stories with you from early May.  We’re also creating a short film to promote what a great town we live in and the wonderful experiences we have on our doorstep.  If you’d like to take part in future stories please contact events@carnoustiecdt.org.uk.

Visitors Guide Pocket Map – we’re beginning to think about the design for this.

High Street Festival – we currently have 6 venues along the High Street that we’re planning free family friendly entertainment on 5 dates i.e. 14th/15th/20th/21st and 22nd July.

Open-Air Concert – this free family friendly programme of events will happen on 21st July at Carnoustie House Grounds – the fun starts from 10am.  We’ve confirmed 3 acts so far and are actively talking to others.  If you know any acoustic or jazz bands please ask them to email us at events@carnoustiecdt.org.uk.  We’re also talking to Angus Farmers Market and other local producers.  And we’re exploring the idea of a children’s zone so kids can experience something different and fun.  We’ll provide details of how to get your free ticket in May.

Carnoustie Golf Links will be sharing some exciting news with us soon about their new home, the Link Magazine will be available in May and we’re expecting more than 100 Golfers to be in town 13-17 May for the Classics.

Angus Council will be publishing details around parking, traffic routes etc on their website from next week onwards.
